Hester M. Peirce was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was sworn in on January 11, 2018.
Prior to joining the SEC, Commissioner Peirce conducted research on the regulation of financial markets at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She was a Senior Counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where she advised Ranking Member Richard Shelby and other members of the Committee on securities issues. Commissioner Peirce served as counsel to SEC Commissioner Paul S. Atkins. She also worked as a Staff Attorney in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management. Commissioner Peirce was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale) and clerked for Judge Roger Andewelt on the Court of Federal Claims.
Commissioner Peirce earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Case Western Reserve University and her JD from Yale Law School.
Commissioner Peirce has been designated as the leader of the SEC’s Crypto Task Force.

Alan heads the Financial Infrastructure & Artificial Intelligence Office at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
In this capacity, Alan leads the development of strategies to drive digital transformation across the financial industry, and spearheads programs to foster responsible innovation in AI and Asset Tokenisation. He oversees MAS’ initiatives for cross border multi-currency settlement and the advancement of digital public infrastructure and platforms for open finance.
Previously, Alan held various leadership roles in the private sector including managing consulting and software development teams across Asia Pacific. He is a co-author of patents in distributed systems and has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

John Ho is the Global Head of Legal, Financial Markets for Standard Chartered Bank (“Standard Chartered”).
John has supported digitisation in Standard Chartered and adoption of new or innovative technology initiatives such as blockchain, distributed ledger technology and smart contracts. He is an active participant in the industry’s Fintech events and has shared insights on the legal and regulatory framework relating to the development of Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, Digital Assets, Stablecoins, Web3 and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). Angela leads Asia Pacific public policy and strategic partnerships for TRM Labs, a blockchain intelligence company that helps financial institutions, cryptocurrency businesses and public agencies detect and investigate crypto-related fraud and financial crime. A former regulator, Angela spent over a decade at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where she was most recently Deputy Director in charge of licensing for payment service providers. As part of the pioneering team for Singapore’s payments regulatory regime, she oversaw the development of the licensing framework, and the assessment of several hundred payments and digital asset license applications. A seasoned investor and climate finance leader, Dr. Bai is also the Founder of Asia Green Fund, a US$2.5 billion impact private equity firm driving Asia’s decarbonisation efforts. He previously served as Partner at Warburg Pincus and held senior roles at First Reserve and Goldman Sachs. He is a seasoned banking and finance professional, having held various roles in Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). At the BIS Innovation Hub, Kah Kit led innovation projects most notably Project Nexus which developed a next-gen multilateral fast payment network, Project Mandala which pioneered a programmable compliance model and Project Rialto which devised next-gen FX settlement protocols. At BNM, Kah Kit was instrumental in leading BNM’s Digital Currency Research Hub which conducted a successful proof-of-concept of a multi-CBDC network dubbed Project Dunbar involving the central banks in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Africa.

Kelvin was involved in the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Project Ubin which led to the development of Partior, and Project Guardian, an initiative to enhance liquidity and efficiency of financial markets through asset tokenisation.

Alvin Chia is the Head of Digital Assets Innovation for Asia Pacific at Northern Trust. He spearheads the development of market-leading innovations that advance Northern Trust’s digital asset strategy, focusing on tokenization, blockchain integration and next-generation market infrastructure. Tek Yew is an adjunct professor and advisor to the NUS-Asian Institute of Digital Finance which was formed jointly by the National University of Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
He also serves as a Senior Advisor to BCG and was most recently the Vice Chairman of Oliver Wyman Singapore (a Marsh McLennan “MMC” business). Aside from these roles, Tek Yew has also been appointed as an advisor to the ASEAN Bankers’ Association and the Global Finance & Technology Network (“GFTN”).
During his consulting career, Tek Yew has worked on major industry transformation programs such as the modernization of Singapore’s payments sector with the MAS. starting BondEvalue in 2016, Rahul was the global head for International

Income solutions to their clients. He was also a member of the bank’s
Capital Markets, global management team.
During the early part of his career, he worked in the financial markets
teams at Nomura (Singapore), Credit Suisse (India) and Citibank (HK &
India). He graduated from Delhi College of Engineering and did his MBA
from the Indian School of Business (Deans List), where he also received
the HSBC scholarship for leadership. He did his Doctorate from the
Singapore Management University (SMU), with a thesis on trust in non-
human actors. He received a merit award for academic performance at
SMU. He regularly teaches and speaks on bond markets and fintech. He
also holds two engineering patents in his name. Rahul lives in Singapore

Dr. Tanwa Arpornthip serves as a Senior Advisor at SCB 10X, the venture arm of SCBX Group, where he applies his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Virginia to evaluate and guide investments in frontier technologies.
