Prof. Chia Tek Yew

Tek Yew is an adjunct professor and advisor to the NUS-Asian Institute of Digital Finance which was formed jointly by the National University of Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.  

He also serves as a Senior Advisor to BCG and was most recently the Vice Chairman of Oliver Wyman Singapore (a Marsh McLennan “MMC” business). Aside from these roles, Tek Yew has also been appointed as an advisor to the ASEAN Bankers’ Association and the Global Finance & Technology Network (“GFTN”).

During his consulting career, Tek Yew has worked on major industry transformation programs such as the modernization of Singapore’s payments sector with the MAS.  He has also advised other Asian and Middle East central banks on Payments and Innovation, especially in the area of cross border instant payments platforms.

Tek Yew was also the founding co-chairman of the crypto-assets sub-committee of the Blockchain Association of Singapore and has been advising companies and banks on the implications and opportunities of CBDCs and stablecoins.

Tek Yew was also the founding chairman of Singapore Fintech Association’s Sustainable Finance sub-committee.
