Yip Kah Kit

Kah Kit is the Head of Blockchain and Digital Assets at UOB Group. He is a seasoned banking and finance professional, having held various roles in Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). At the BIS Innovation Hub, Kah Kit led innovation projects most notably Project Nexus which developed a next-gen multilateral fast payment network, Project Mandala which pioneered a programmable compliance model and Project Rialto which devised next-gen FX settlement protocols. At BNM, Kah Kit was instrumental in leading BNM’s Digital Currency Research Hub which conducted a successful proof-of-concept of a multi-CBDC network dubbed Project Dunbar involving the central banks in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Africa.
